Thank You, Nutrisystem!




How do I thank a team of individuals for giving me a happier, healthier life? I've been thinking a lot about the last 77 weeks and remembering how I felt just starting out on the plan. Although I hoped {and prayed} I would be successful on it, a 50 lb. loss seemed a bit impossible to me. Not anymore!! In addition to the weight loss, my blood pressure is now a perfect 118/78, I no longer get out of breath just walking around the block, I'm more confident, even my edema has improved. "Thank you" seems so inadequate. I encourage anyone who is struggling to lose weight to give Nutrisystem's Uniquely Yours plan a try. Test the waters with the frozen a la carte meals if you're hesitant to commit. I was 55 when I started Nutrisystem and as hard as I tried, I couldn't lose weight. Now at 57, I'm here to tell you it is possible to lose weight....a lot of weight...even at this age. I promised to post some before and after photos so here goes ~



I'm a bit teary-eyed writing this...and a little scared to no longer have to be accountable, but I will always be grateful to this company, my counselors Jaclyn and Mary, and especially Ryan for believing in me and for giving me this opportunity. So, even though it could never be enough, from the bottom of my heart..."THANK YOU!". I also want to thank everyone who has followed my journey and encouraged me along the way. I wish everyone reading this who may be struggling to lose weight the same success I've had. I stayed the same last week as far as weight and am ending my assignment with a total loss of 44 lbs. Whether I would have reached my 50-lb. goal had I not been hit by a car as a pedestrian, I'll never know; but I'm proud of the weight I've lost and kept off while still recovering. One thing's for certain...I couldn't have done it without Nutrisystem. xo

Fall Cleanup with Mean Green





I've been waiting for the cooler weather to start tackling all those outdoor cleaning projects that I put off all summer. Ugh!! The older I get, the more I dislike spending time cleaning. Thankfully, Mean Green Super Strength Cleaner & Degreaser cuts the time I have to spend scrubbing dirt and stains off porch columns, railings, and outdoor furniture. 




Between tree sap, dead bugs, bird droppings and the salt air, my porch columns really took a beating this summer. They look like they could use a power washing, but since I don't own a pressure washer, I thought I'd give Mean Green a try first before renting one. A few spritzes and not much elbow grease removed most of the debris. It also removed the caked on dirt and salt that has been sitting on my bike for awhile off in a snap.

Starting Week 77 on Nutrisystem



This is it! My last week as an NSNation Blogger! Lucky 77...and how lucky I have been that the Nutrisystem team chose me to partner with them. I hope I've lived up to their expectations and made them proud. 



Wanted to share a little tip when eating the Nutrisystem bars for breakfast or lunch. I cut them into small pieces to avoid gobbling them up in 4 bites. Not rocket science, but it forces me to eat slower and more mindfully. ☺

Once upon a time, these were my favorite jeans {I knew I held onto them for a reason}. ☺ The inset pic in the upper left corner was Christmas 2010. By 2015, before Nutrisystem came to my rescue, these jeans were too tight to wear. When I tried them on several months into my weight loss journey, they were falling off me. If I were to do it over again, the one thing I would do differently is record my measurements before starting Nutrisystem. When you're feeling discouraged because the scale isn't showing the results you think it should, the measuring tape most likely will. 



I'd rate myself a B- as far as sticking to my plan of doing a modified version of Turbo Takeoff last week. The first few days went great, but as the week progressed I found myself mindlessly snacking while worrying about friends and family in the path of Irma. Although I've made some strides over the last 1.5 years with stress eating, it's still is an issue for me. Exercising 6 days last week helped though and I wound up with a 1.2 lb loss. Since my body seems most comfortable around 137 lbs., my new goal will be to maintain that weight, rather than continuing to strive for a 50-lb. loss. Fitting into a new pair of pretty jeans is way more exciting than a number on the scale anyway. ☺
