Starting Week 43 with Nutrisystem


Our indoor pool is back open and I recently began jogging in it again. Although I needed to lose weight all over, my legs needed the most work, and still do. Since I made the mistake of not taking my measurements prior to starting Nutrisystem, I have to find other measuring tools. Last week, I tried on a pair of sweatpants which fit snugly before I started this journey. It's a little hard to tell from this photo {and sorry it's not my best}, but I could probably fit both legs in one side of the pants now.☺☺☺


For years, I've heard the last 10 lbs. are the hardest to lose. Before Nutrisystem, I wouldn't know; I had difficulty taking off even the first 10 lbs.! For me, it's not that losing the last 10 lbs. is harder than the first 40, it's just that the pounds come off much slower. It's taken months to feel this way, but at this point in my journey, I'm finding the scale moving at a snail's pace to be a motivating challenge rather than a discouraging one. It keeps me on my toes and I enjoy trying different ideas my Counselor, Jaclyn, suggests to boost my metabolism. I've learned over these past 42 weeks that patience is key to weight loss, it's not meant to be a sprint, and stressing over the scale will do more harm than good. I can always repeat Week 1's Turbo Takeoff if I reach a plateau that lasts more than a week or two. 


To try and break through the stagnant 2 ounce weight loss that I've had over the past few weeks, I took a risk and added an additional powerfuel and smart carb last week and switched up the variety. The Leaf has wonderful low-cal recipes like this 5-Ingredient Veggie Frittata that I'm looking forward to making. 



I lost .6 lbs. this week for a 42-week total of 42.2 lbs. Feeling great and wishing everyone a happy week!
