Whew! Birthday weeks are a challenging time to stick to a diet. I had family visiting and we ate just about every meal out. Our first was to a popular local Sports Bar and it was an eye-opener. I ordered a burger with lettuce, onions and tomato, I skipped the cheese and only ate part of the roll. I found myself missing my Nutrisystem dinner and kept thinking their meals are so much better than this!
We managed to get a little exercising in ~ kayaking, walking in the pool, and a couple of trips to the beach where I scribbled this a few times before the waves rolled in.
It was a great week and I'm happy I didn't obsess over temporarily going off course for the first time in 25 weeks. Even better, I'm looking forward to getting back to the plan and my exercise program. Me looking forward to dieting and exercising? I really have come a long way in the last 6 months! One thing is clear, sometimes you have to step away from something to realize how much you miss it and to recharge.
Lost .4 lbs. which is more than I expected. It's a new day and week and I'm feeling determined. ☺
