Starting Week 10 on Nutrisystem


I received a happy surprise Friday from the Nutrisystem team. They invited me to continue this journey with them for another 12 weeks! Soooo excited, my overall weight-loss goal will now be within my reach and I am more motivated than ever to get there. I still have a long way to go but, to help, Nutrisystem has some delicious healthy recipes on their blog, The Leaf, and on their social pages. I found this Crunchy Cucumber Dill Salad recipe on Nutrisystem's You Tube page, it's a must-try for summer ~ 


I'm going to try and get more creative with veggie sides so when this journey is over, I have an arsenal of easy-to-make, healthy recipes to rely on rather than falling back into my old habits. I enjoy following #Nutrisystem and #NSNation on Instagram to see what creative ways others on the plan come up with as far as sides and which entrees are their faves. 


Speaking of fave entrees, mine for this week is the Roasted Turkey Medallions with Mashed Potatoes. YUM!! Comfort food at only 270 calories. And since turkey always reminds me of Thanksgiving, I actually "gave thanks" to the Nutrisystem team while I was enjoying this dinner earlier in the week. I guess they heard me! It's a reminder "What you think about, you bring about" so the next time I look in the mirror, instead of thinking negatively, I will switch my thoughts to "I'm going to reach my goal weight by the end of this journey!". 



The parties are in full force in our beautiful community. I attended one this week at the home of my friends who are both incredible cooks. I was very mindful to eat in moderation and think I did pretty well. Not sure if the scale will agree, but I guess we'll find out soon enough ~ 



Bye-bye to another 1.2 lbs. for a total of 16.2 lbs. in 9 weeks. YAY! Looking forward to being in the 150s by the end of this 12-week journey, and then on to the 140s.
