Other than my little red teapot, you won't find anything red in my home. It was as if they had been to my home though, the rug coordinates perfectly. I love brocade and burgundy is the main accent color in my house. I normally don't get too excited over flooring, carpets or floor mats, but I am thrilled with this. As described on their website the color is a rich shade reminiscent of crimson cranberry. It is thick and cushy and I wish my entire home was carpeted in it! Before I even read about it, I stepped on it and thought "this is the most comfortable mat in the world". Wouldn't you know, that's exactly what's on their label. An added plus to this new design is the cover is washable. Although from the perfectly snug fit, you would never know it slips off unless you turned the mat over.
