i want to make a positive difference in my community by spreading awareness and offering free or cheap help for people, men and women, with eating disorders. i know a lot of people who struggle around here but there seems to be an attitude of we have money so that does not happen here which is NOT true. and for the people who are not "rich" or insured getting treatment seems near impossible.

I want to make a difference in my community by helping those that can't speak for themselves. I am a huge advocate for animal rights and believe in No Kill shelters throughout the US. I volunteer at our local No Kill shelter monthly and try to advocate in any way possible for animals by protesting at kill shelters, promoting spay and neuter programs and getting petitions signed to promote animal rights legislation.

Just by doing what I can for others- every year for last 20 years I gather toys and parent gifts for those in my community who would not have Christmas- I scour various sources for deals and donations. I collect clothes and food- I once lost my entire house to a fire- that opens your eyes to those around you. My kids and grand kids love helping and sharing. barbara.hite1 (facebook)
