Lifeline Skin Care Gifting Event

I recently had to turn down an offer to review a skincare line that wasn't age appropriate for my skin. After I told the company's PR Rep, Jenn, my skin requires a product for more mature skin, she emailed the next day asking if I wanted to try an anti-aging line called Lifeline Skin Care. After the products arrived, I learned they are made using human stem cells. I have to be honest, this made me a little squeamish. I certainly didn't want to be using a product whose ingredients could otherwise be used to cure diseases. Since I had agreed to test them, I felt an obligation to at least investigate further. What followed was the most in-depth research I have conducted on a product. Here's the short of it: First, the parent company of Lifeline Skin Care is Stem Cell Corporation. Through their discovery of a new class of human cells, Stem Cell Corporation is developing technologies to treat blindness, Parkinson's, diabetes and liver disease. In their research, they discovered an extract derived from non-embryonic stem cells that can treat aging skin. The stem cells are derived parthenogenetically, a process that does not destroy the embryo, from unfertilized eggs donated to Stem Cell Corporation. Parthenogenetic stem cells are much more potent than adult or plant stem cells. The profits from the sale of the Lifeline Skin Care are being used to fund Stem Cell Corporation's research to treat regenerative diseases. 

This info left me feeling a lot better about testing the products. The products arrived in a shimmering silver box containing both the Day and Night Serum. Each serum is a light creamy consistency in a soft yellow color. The night serum has a slight scent which quickly dissipates, the day serum has no discernible scent. Both products were quickly absorbed and not at all greasy or sticky and left no "shine". Both are paraben-free and contain Vitamins B and E. The Day Serum also contains Vitamins A, D and SPF 15. I appreciate that the bottles are clearly marked with large bold letters to easily differentiate between the two. 


After using the products for a couple of days, I noticed the finer lines on my face appeared smoother. I thought to myself, it must be wishful thinking, how is this possible in just a few days? Since adult skin cells renew every 30-45 days, I wanted to give the products a full 30 days. I used both the Day and Night Serum nearly every day for the 4 weeks, skipping about 3 or 4 days. I am amazed at the results. I have never before seen such quick or dramatic improvements from any skincare product. A few of the fine lines seem to have disappeared and most of the more prominent lines appear less deep. Sun spots have also lightened. The Day Serum retails for $160, the Night Serum $190; the set retails for $340. Yes, it's pricey, however, these products provide FANTASTIC results and are a heck of a lot less than the cost of laser peels, botox or a facelift.
