PaloVia Skin Renewing Laser ~ Chic Gifting Event

It takes some getting used to in order to master using the device and "stamping" the skin. One of my questions prior to use was is there a risk of the laser damaging my eyes. I was relieved to learn the laser light will not fire unless all four corners of the device make contact with the skin eliminating the risk of light hitting the eye. It also has a limit of 25 pulses per 8-hour period, eight for each eye plus a few extra in case of misfires. The PaloVia has three settings (low, medium and high). I used the low setting, the first time I used it I felt a quick hot stinging sensation. I removed the gel after treatment and applied a rich moisturizer cream.

You will want to schedule the initial 30-day treatment when you do not have a special occasion or vacation/travel planned as you may experience redness as I did. I skipped a few days until the redness disappeared. The area also became dry and flaky as though peeling from a sunburn. The redness did continue throughout but not as dramatic as the initial treatment. I used the laser for 4 weeks, however, as mentioned I did not use it for 30 consecutive days. Overall, I saw an improvement in the depth of wrinkles and some of the less intense lines appear to have nearly disappeared. It sounded more difficult to use when I read the instructions than it actually is. It is easy to get the hang of after the initial few applications. The hardest part, for me, was the commitment to use every night because of traveling and the redness. Although I applied makeup, my skin was flaking so it was hard to conceal. I guess this is a small price to pay for wrinkle-free skin! After the initial 30-day treatment, twice a week application is recommended. I can handle that! Seeing these results, I will definitely try it again when I can commit to the 30 consecutive days to get the full benefits. All things considered, I think the PaloVia is a neat invention and much more appealing and cost-efficient than injecting needles into the area around my eyes or higher-energy professional laser treatments. Hopefully it won't be too long before we see a PaloVia for the face on the market.
