Colonial Candle Review and Giveaway

I wonder when Mrs. Baker began making candles for friends in her small colonial Massachusetts kitchen in 1909, if she ever dreamed the company she started would still be going strong more than a century later. Imagine a woman starting her own company in 1909? How inspiring! I'm sure she lit the way with more than just her candles. Today, Colonial Candle continues to provide quality candles and build on the company's foundation of friendship started by Mrs. Baker. The Colonial Candle team reached out to us and sent an assortment of candles including their newest collection, St. Barths, to see what we thought of them ~


Cocoa Plum ~ A delicious blend of black raspberry and plum infused with vanilla suede and sandalwood ~

Coral Hibiscus ~ a vibrant tropical experience of exotic papaya, sweet citrus and white jasmine ~

Melon Mojito ~ a sparkling medley of lime, papaya, and pineapple topped with whipped meringue ~

Topaz Waters ~ sparkling bergamot, blue freesia, and driftwood ~ 

I adore candles and often give them as gifts so I am always up for trying a new scent or brand. First, I love the bright and beautiful colors of each of these candles, they are so cheery. And the scents, oh the scents, they are lusciously magnificent. All reminded me of fresh florals and citrus with the exception of Cocoa Plum which was a bit "warmer" and was my favorite. The 8-oz. size is poured in an oval glass jar, includes a cover, and has a burn time of up to 50 hours. The candles are made with premium wax and have a double cotton wick.
