We were sent nuNAAT's Silicone Collection of hair products to try. The collection includes ~

I used the shampoo and masque while showering and the leave-in conditioner mixed with a few drops of hair serum before styling. I wasn't sure I was going to write this review because my hair was very tangled after shampooing and applying the masque. I'm used to stepping out of the shower with silky wet hair. Also, the shampoo didn't lather as much as I am used to so I wasn't sure how well it was cleansing my hair. Lastly, I'm a bit of a packaging snob and although I didn't know the price of the products until writing this review, the packaging didn't float my boat. HOWEVER, this review was a reminder to me that I should not judge a book {or a haircare line} by its cover. What struck me first after blowing my hair out was how healthy my hair looked. If I were to describe the line in one word it would be VA VA VOOM...okay that's three words, but you get the idea. For some reason the inclusion of the words silicone and keratin led me to believe using these products would result in more of a Brazilian straightening effect. I have more hair on my head than I know what to do with so I tend to shy away from volumizing products, but I know many women who complain their hair is thin and lacks body and they would absolutely love this line. If you are looking to add volume and bounce to your hair, look no further than nuNAAT's reasonably-priced Silicon products. The MSRP for each product is only $5.49! Haralee Pajamas Review

I recently discovered Haralee, a company that makes pajamas specifically designed for those who suffer from night sweats, After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002, company founder Haralee Weinbraub, soon realized that a long-lasting side effect from chemotherapy is hot flashes and night sweats. It was at this time that she learned about wick-away clothing which draws perspiration away from the body to the fabric where it quickly evaporates. At the time, Haralee couldn't find any pajamas made from this fabric to help her get a comfortable night's sleep so she did what any inspirational, determined, extraordinary woman fighting breast cancer would do...she started the company! Talk about turning a negative into a positive!

I received the lovely "Barbara" pajamas pictured above which have a sleeveless top and capri pants. Both the pants and top have Haralee's signature lettuce edging helping transform these pajamas into loungewear. The Caribbean Blue color is a deep shade of teal. I purposely rolled these up into a ball when I took them off to see if they would wrinkle, but no matter what I did to them they looked just pressed...even after sleeping in them! Of course one doesn't have to suffer from night sweats to wear these pj's, but if you do, you will adore them. I particularly loved the capri pants and the edging definitely is "the cat's pajamas". Lightweight and ideal for traveling, I am definitely taking them along on my next trip.

Pinckney Cookie Cafe Review and Giveaway

My #1 weakness, far and away, is cookies. It is not easy to find a scrumptious soft and chewy cookie that tastes as though it just came out of the oven, at least I haven't found one ~ until now! Founded by Michael Pinckney in 1999, Pinckney Cookie Cafe has been baking up extraordinarily delicious and flavorful cookies ever since. Michael sent us his four varieties to try ~

The Pinckney Original ~  The cookie that started it all ~ rich dark belgian chocolate chips, chocolaty dough, walnuts and a hint of coconut. My favorite!

Bing Bling! ~ Founder Michael's fav, this gourmet goodie has pieces of diced dried bing cherries added to the original cookie recipe. I'm not a fan of cherries so was a little hesitant to try this one. I could not detect the cherry flavor but the addition of them made this cookie unbelievably moist. It is a favorite in my house too!

COCO ~ The most unique of the four varieties, COCO is an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie with hints of coconut and orange. I did taste the orange in this cookie, it was subtle, but not being a fan of orange, I preferred the other three, but that's just my personal taste. COCO is chock full of flavor, unbelievably moist, and could almost be a stand-alone dessert. Anyone who likes a bit of orange zest, would LOVE these.

Classic Chocolate Chip ~ Two types of dark chocolate chips make this American classic even better! 


The cookies arrived from across the country {all the way from Bellvue, Washington} via priority mail. Incredibly, they tasted as though they just came out of my oven. Although we are all experiencing record high temperatures, the chocolate didn't melt and the cookies remained plump, soft and chewy. They even have that right-out-of-the oven smell! Each variety was in it's own chic gift box, the icing on the cookie for these gourmet delights. And the flavor? In a word...FANTASTIC! They contain no preservatives and can be refrigerated or frozen...although if your house is like ours, they probably will never make it to the freezer.
