Living Proof's No Frizz Review

Our friends at Living Proof sent us their frizz line to see what we thought of it. Lately my hair seems frizzier than usual for this time of year. It could be some of the products that I've been testing that didn't make our editorial cut, or it may just be all the wiry grays that are multiplying at lightening speed. In any event, I was so pleased with Living Proof's Restore line that I reviewed a few months ago, that I was anxious to try their No Frizz line. We tested ~

According to the website, maximum results are achieved after 5 uses. I used all three products for three weeks and they absolutely reduced the frizzies. I let my hair air dry until about 90% of the moisture was gone before blow drying which is what I usually do. My hair seemed to dry much faster {both air drying and with the blow dryer} after using these products. What's especially nice is that the products allowed my hair to hold a curl. For some reason I expected to have straight, flat hair after using these products. Although the frizz line smoothed my hair, it also left in the body which I was happy about. This pic was taken after being outside in a mix of weather ~ overcast, cloudy, damp with peeks of sun.

The instructions state hair will remain cleaner and I found this was true, the products didn't leave a greasy residue. My hair color didn't seem to fade at all with these products, and with what I spend on coloring my hair, this scores huge points with me. My colorist tries to pick up the same strands of hair during each highlight and consequently some of the highlighted strands had started to look a little frayed. The frizz products seemed to repair the split ends and and left my hair incredibly soft. Overall, I give these three products very high marks. They are definitely worth a try if you have frizzy, damaged or porous hair.

From what I can see, they offer a solution to every hair care issue and since our hair says so much about us and how we feel about ourselves, we all deserve to have a good hair day everyday! Beija-Flor Jeans Gifting Event

It was a happy accident when I stumbled upon a company I had never heard of before, Beija-Flor, meaning hummingbird in Portguese. This South Carolina company which makes a luxury line of jeans made from Brazilian denim was started by Kathy Moca a mom who, while living in Brazil, noticed the cut and style of Brazilian jeans worked with a woman's curves rather than against them. When Kathy returned to the States she started Beija-Flor. Today Kathy's daughter, Emilie, works alongside her marketing the popular jeans which have been named O magazine's pick for a "figure fixer". As you may have noticed, I ♥ jeans and if they can fix my figure, count me in! 

The ladies at Beija-Flor sent me their Jennifer Miracle Bootcut Jeans. Since I'm all for miracles when it comes to clothing, I couldn't wait to try them ~

Before I even put them on, I knew I would love them simply because of their weight...not too heavy or bulky, it's apparent these jeans are designed by women. It gets so warm in North Carolina in the summer, that it's often too hot to wear jeans. I'm so happy I will be able to wear these year-round. The unique details ~ an embossed hummingbird button, subtle pink stitching, an embroidered hummingbird, and carefully placed stitching in back to give a slimming illusion ~ did not go unnoticed. 

I'm never sure what size to wear when ordering jeans, some are cut soooo small. These are a generous fit, I probably could even wear them in a size smaller than usual. What I loved most about the Jennifer jeans, aside from the sweet and petite embroidered beija-flor, is the waist is a bit higher in the back than in the front. The color is a deep indigo blue which is slimming. The inseam is 33" which at 5'7" is usually perfect for me, but these were a little long, I think because the overall sizing was so generous, this company definitely doesn't skimp on quality. Dearfoams ~ Cozy Luxury

Our friends at Dearfoams' PR Agency showered us with warmth and coziness. Frownies Review and Giveaway

Pull up a chair, I have to tell you about what is quite possibly my best find ever! The folks at B&P Company, makers of Frownies, sent us their Facelift in a Bag to see what I thought of their products. The company has been making the anti-aging facial pads known as Frownies for 122 years and throughout its heritage has been led by four generations of women ~ I LOVE this story!

I remembered several years ago watching a talk show and the host asked guest Rene Russo what was her secret to her youthful skin. She said "Frownies". I hadn't heard of them and at the time wrinkles weren't a concern, but at 51 times have changed and my wrinkles have become really bothersome.

These were super easy to use, simply smooth out skin and apply moistened patches to skin making sure to cover line entirely.  According to the product info, lines in their early stages will be gone in three nights, deeper wrinkles usually take 30 days. Once the lines are gone, discontinue until the lines reappear. The patch works by holding the skin down preventing frowning or expression. By allowing the muscle to relax and lay flat while sleeping, the body can reverse muscle memory. I wore these overnight along with the...

Corners of Eyes & Mouth Patches ~ Some of my forehead lines are deep so I wasn't expecting immediate results from the patches, but they did lessen in just one night. Each product includes 144 patches and retails for $19.95 per box ~ a great price considering how effective they are. Both items come with a money-back guarantee. I do not know why anyone would choose botox, line fillers or laser peels when these products are available. The only reason I can think of is they are a well-kept secret in Hollywood and not necessarily a household name...I am going to do my part to change that!

Eye Gels ~ These are cooling gel pads that stay in place even when exercising! Leave on for 30 minutes, then replace in tray, spritz with Rose Water Hydrator Spray and refrigerate to reuse. I first tried these under my eyes, I have dark circles, puffiness, and lines. After removing, my eye area felt incredibly refreshed. The skin was dramatically smoother, so much so I could see where the pads had been placed! The following day I applied them to my checks atop the smile lines as well as under my eyes and had the same results. I don't think there has ever been a product that has blown me away as much as this one! Nor have I seen such dramatic results from a wrinkle treatment in just 30 minutes from a product that makes my skin feel so wonderful.
