PharmaSkincare Gifting Event

Our friends at Spa de Soleil sent us two products from their PharmaSkincare line to try. First I have to tell you, the folks at Spa de Soleil are among the nicest most generous individuals with whom we have had the pleasure of partnering.


The first product we tested was A PEEL DMAE CREAM ~

This is a potent cream. I am super-sensitive to fragrance and had I purchased this, probably would have returned it because the scent is so strong. If I had returned it, however, I would have missed out on a FANTASTIC product! The product claims to have "face-lifting" qualities ~ firming, tightening and toning of sagging, tired skin. I applied it at night after cleansing, the scent dissipated after approximately 90 minutes. By the second application, within ten minutes I felt my skin tightening just as the product claimed. In the morning my wrinkles were dramatically smoother! Very few skincare products show such immediate results. The skin on my forehead and chin peeled slightly the next day which I didn't mind at all, my thinking was the exfoliation allows the product to work that much better. The effects of DMAE are supposed to be progressive...I'm anxious to see what the results will be in a few months.  A 1.75 fl oz jar retails for $97.50.


We also tried A PEEL SERUM ~

PharmaSkincare recommends doing a patch test before applying this product and limiting use to twice a week for the first 6-8 weeks. Although I have sensitive skin, I didn't have any adverse reactions. "A PEEL SERUM is supercharged with Retinoic Acid and powerful extracts and compounds that act to counteract the effects UV damage, defy age signs and restore resiliency and radiance". It too has a stronger scent than I am used to, but not as powerful as the cream. I used this product with and without the cream. My skin tingled a bit for a few minutes after application and, as with the cream, my skin felt as though it was tightening. I limited use per the instructions, therefore, time did not allow me to test this product long enough to determine its effectiveness. I'm so optimistic about what I've seen so far from the cream though, that I am confident combining it with the serum will only accelerate the positive results. A 1-oz. bottle of A PEEL SERUM retails for $95.00.
