Lumiere sent me a few samples of their mineral blush, eye pigments and foundation. I was impressed from the start when they asked me to complete a questionnaire and send in a recent photo of myself.
I received seven petite pots filled with mineral makeup ~
I love mineral makeup because it lets the skin breathe and is light and natural looking. Lumiere asked me if there were any colors I particularly wanted to try and sent the shades I requested. My favorites were the Eye Pigments. I applied a thin line of Cafe Latte on my lid just above my eye and under my brow as a highlighter, then added Champagne on the lid and above the crease and finally Bon Bon in the crease.

Lumiere Mineral Cosmetics are light, went on like silk and had staying power. The colors are rich and there is a great variety to choose from on the website. I was also impressed with the true color match of the website images to the actual product. The blush brush was a little big for the sample pots so with the lid on, I shook the jar, opened and swirled the brush around the cap to avoid making a mess. I also did this to apply the eye shadow to its brush. Shades can also be mixed this way to create custom colors.
A 4-oz. jar of blush or foundation retails for $12. A 2-oz. jar of eye pigment retails for $8. Sample jars and baggies are also available for purchase. With so many colors available, I recommend first purchasing the sample jars to find your perfect shades.
